Do you offer an initial consultation visit and what is your charge for this? Yes, I will meet with you first so that I can evaluate your particular situation. At the consultation visit, we discuss what problems you are experiencing, what is working for you, and what your goals are. We will also discuss what our role will be, what your role will be, and the approximate total cost to you for this project. There is no charge to you for the consultation visit if you are located within a 30 mile radius. Otherwise, there may be a small travel fee. Will you present me with a written proposal? If you would like a written proposal, we will be happy to give you one. If you have a large project, we would have to break it down into mini projects and do a proposal on each of the mini projects. On smaller organizing jobs, we can give you an estimate of the time involved and approximate cost to you at the time of the consultation visit. There are several factors which will determine the total cost of your organizing project; the scope of the work to be done, the number of hours it will take to complete the project, and how much you will be involved in the project. During the initial visit we will discuss these factors and make some decisions together. Fees are based on an hourly rate. Repeat customers and projects requiring an extensive number of hours may be eligible for discounted rates. Will I need to be there when you work on my project? Whatever your organizing project (pantry, recipes, closet, entire room, filing system, etc.), it is important that the system created is “suitable” for you. This means that we must customize a system based on your specific personality, needs, and goals. The better the system fits you, who you are, and what is important to you, the easier the system will be to maintain. There may be certain things, such as purchasing your containers and all supplies needed, which you could possibly do before the scheduled day of the project. We do also offer consulting services whereas I would present to you a plan of action to get your project organized, but you would do the actual hands on work. For this service, there is a minimum two hour charge which is due at the time you are presented with your plan of action. Any further consulting you may require, would be done at the regular hourly rate. The additional consulting on the same project does not qualify you as a repeat client. All options available to you will be discussed at the initial consultation. Why should I get and stay organized? Life today moves very rapidly and will continue to accelerate in the years to come.
